For 100 years, we’ve been giving children in Kosovo and around the world a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. When crisis strikes, we are always among the first to respond and the last to leave. We do whatever it takes to save children, transforming their lives and the future we share.
Save the Children in Kosova/o (SCiK) has been working and improving girls’ and boys’ rights in Kosovo since 1997. Save the Children operates throughout Kosovo, with geographical presence and staff working in Pristina, Prizren, Gjakova, Junik, Peja, Klina, Gjilan, Ferizaj, Mitrovica South and Mitrovica North to ensure an immediate and appropriate response to the needs of girls and boys, communities, and implementing partners. Our program approach is based on direct interventions, the establishment of good practices and the capacity building of civil society and local duty bearers to respond to the needs of girls and boys. It also advocates for legislation and policies to incorporate inclusive practices and establish financial mechanisms to support systemic responses and therefore achieve long-lasting positive changes for all girls and boys.
