Save the Children has organized the regular annual meeting with school directors and municipal officials from municipalities where the Save the Children program in Kosovo is implemented. The purpose of this meeting was to present the outcomes, challenges and activities envisaged to be implemented in partnership with schools and MEST.

Local to Global: Prohibition and Elimination of Corporal Punishment of Children in Kosovo Workshop

From 2-4 of October, we organized a workshop with our partners on the topic of corporal punishment. This workshop gathered representatives from our partner organizations like: Syri I Vizionit, ATRC, KOMF etc. The workshop aimed at increasing our capacities as Save the Children, as well as our partner organizations, so that we can harmonise our efforts on common activities and goals.

Save the Children in Kosova/o marks breastfeeding week

From 1st to 7th of October 2017, with the motto "Supporting breastfeeding together", Save the Children, UNICEF, and the Ministry of Health are marking the Breastfeeding Week in Kosovo. The week is jointly organized in cooperation with the University Medical Clinical Center, Main Family Health Facilities, Baby Friendly Institution working group, Red Cross of Kosovo, Midwife association, and Association for Mother and Children. Last Sunday was the kick-off with a visit at the Maternity clinic within the Hospital of Ferizaj.

Save the Children in Kosovo visits ‘School №21’ in Zhytomyr, Ukraine.

‘School №21’ in Zhytomyr is one of the schools which has had continuous support from Save the Children local partner, Women’s Consortium Ukraine (WCU). The school and the Consortium have been cooperating in their struggles to raise awareness against violence.

‘School №21’ is a leading group advocating against violence and tackling the importance of violence prevention in their community. This effort has become a tradition for the school, where now they dedicate an entire week to awareness raising activities against violence.
