Local to Global: Prohibition and Elimination of Corporal Punishment of Children in Kosovo Workshop

From 2-4 of October, we organized a workshop with our partners on the topic of corporal punishment. This workshop gathered representatives from our partner organizations like: Syri I Vizionit, ATRC, KOMF etc. The workshop aimed at increasing our capacities as Save the Children, as well as our partner organizations, so that we can harmonise our efforts on common activities and goals.

Save the Children in Kosovo visits ‘School №21’ in Zhytomyr, Ukraine.

‘School №21’ in Zhytomyr is one of the schools which has had continuous support from Save the Children local partner, Women’s Consortium Ukraine (WCU). The school and the Consortium have been cooperating in their struggles to raise awareness against violence.

‘School №21’ is a leading group advocating against violence and tackling the importance of violence prevention in their community. This effort has become a tradition for the school, where now they dedicate an entire week to awareness raising activities against violence.

Save the Children in Kosova/o is constantly working to increase not only the quantity of social service centres but also increase the quality of services these centres provide to vulnerable and marginalized people living at social risk. At the same time, access to such services can be crucial for a significant number of people.

Paving the path for better Social Services for the Most Vulnerable Groups

Save the Children in Kosovo, in partnership with the European Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research, has begun implementing the project “Support for Better Social Services for the Most Vulnerable Groups,” seeking to contribute to an effective transformation of the social service system in Kosovo for improved quality and availability of the local social and community based services for children and vulnerable people living at social risk.
