Save the Children has organized the regular annual meeting with school directors and municipal officials from municipalities where the Save the Children program in Kosovo is implemented. The purpose of this meeting was to present the outcomes, challenges and activities envisaged to be implemented in partnership with schools and MEST.

Save the Children in Kosovo visits ‘School №21’ in Zhytomyr, Ukraine.

‘School №21’ in Zhytomyr is one of the schools which has had continuous support from Save the Children local partner, Women’s Consortium Ukraine (WCU). The school and the Consortium have been cooperating in their struggles to raise awareness against violence.

‘School №21’ is a leading group advocating against violence and tackling the importance of violence prevention in their community. This effort has become a tradition for the school, where now they dedicate an entire week to awareness raising activities against violence.

Medicor Foundation Liechtenstein and Save the Children Switzerland visit Kosovo country office

 

Save the Children in Kosovo works tirelessly to make education accessible for all children. Together with our partners, we work with communities to educate and inform them about the importance of education for children.

Save the children Switzerland and Medicor Foundation Liechtenstein have been our biggest donors in the field of inclusive education. We’ve been targeting municipality of Mitrovica, as the most disadvantaged region, specifically working Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities to increase children’s participation in schools.

Raising Awareness on Autism through art!

 

April is Autism Awareness Month.  Save the Children in Kosova/o jointly with our partner, Handikos, held an awareness raising event in the municipality of Gjakova, supported by the staff at the Community Based Rehabilitation Center (CBRC) in Gjakova. The activity was carried out through the Healing and Education through Arts (HEART) approach.
