Terms of Reference (ToR)

Local Company/Individual/s to redesign SCK’s existing website

Background on Save the Children

Save the Children is the leading global independent organisation for children.Save the Children believes every child deserves a future. Around the world, we work every day to give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn, and protection from harm. When crisis strikes and children are most vulnerable, we are always among the first to respond and the last to leave. We ensure children’s unique needs are met and their voices are heard. We deliver lasting results for millions of children, including those hardest to reach.

We do whatever it takes for children – every day and in times of crisis – transforming their lives and the future we share.

Our vision: A world in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, development, and participation.

Our mission: To inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children, and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives.

Our values: Accountability, ambition, collaboration, creativity, and integrity.

We are committed to ensuring our resources are used as efficiently as possible, in order to focus them on achieving maximum impact for children.

To improve and expand the visibility of its programmes, SC Kosova/o aims to re-design its existing website in order to align or reflect the brand, mission, vision, values, and mandate of the organization according to Save the Children International Global Branding Guidelines and its national Brand Strategy. Therefore, SCK seeks to change/update the content, structure, format, and navigation of its website to improve performance and convert more visitors.

Save the Children Kosova/o is seeking an individual/ company to build a new website using a cloud platform like WordPress or WIX which would have to include the hosting. Once the new website is ready, the current SCK’s subdomain will be pointed to the new website. The individual/company has to ensure the chosen product allows custom domain names. The official language of the website is English; hence, the individual/company has to ensure the optionality of translation into other languages through google-supported translation.

The aim of the re-designed website is to help in communicating or conveying SCK’s mission more effectively and reaching a wider audience. For this, the website has to be well organized and child and user friendly, as well as provide clear navigation. The website will also be continuously updated by Save the Children with new information and other relevant updates to mark various milestones throughout its work. The website has to reflect Save the Children’s Kosova/o brand strategy.
