It was a great privilege and pleasure to welcome the CEO of Save the Children Switzerland, Mr. Ömer Güven, to his first visit at our programme in Kosovo on June 26th-27th. We are highly grateful to the continuous support that Save the Children in Switzerland offers to our programme, particularly in funding multiple projects implemented nationwide.

Call for Applications: Civil Engineer/Architect

Save the Children International, Country Office in Kosovo (hereafter: SCI in Kosovo), as part of its Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) and Basic Education sub-thematic programmes, is looking for a local Civil Engineer/Architect to provide technical support for conducting assessment and supervision for rehabilitation and refurbishment of ten (10) spaces that will serve as Child Friendly Rooms (4 spaces/rooms in Gjakova, Ferizaj, Gjilan and Mitrovica) for the evaluation of children with disability and learning difficulty and six (6) in preschool classes in the villages of Mitrovica, Ferizaj, Peja and Klina.

A Win for Children and People with Disabilities in Gjakova

This year, the Municipality of Gjakova celebrated June 1st in a much more special way. Marking International Children's day, the new building of the rehabilitation center "HandiKOS" in Gjakova was opened, the construction and operation of which were made possible through the cooperation of Save the Children in Kosovo and the Municipality of Gjakova.
