Empowering Early Childhood Education: A Step Towards Progress

A comprehensive two-day workshop was held to draft administrative instructions derived from the Law on Early Childhood Education. Hosted by MESTI with the support of SCiK, the workshop focused on the formulation of Administrative Guidelines aimed at facilitating the inclusion of children in preschool institutions. This gathering marked a pivotal moment in our journey towards ensuring every child's right to quality education and care.

First Day

The workshop commenced with a clear presentation of our collective purpose. We were gathered with a shared commitment: to draft an Administrative Instruction that champions the inclusion of children in early childhood education. As the agenda unfolded, participants dived into the heart of the matter. The draft Administrative Instruction took center stage, serving as a blueprint for progress. Together, we scrutinized its contents, recognizing both its potential and areas for improvement. In the spirit of collaboration, participants form working groups, pooled their expertise and insights. Discussions were dynamic and productive as we collectively revised and supplement the existing draft. With each exchange, we moved closer to crafting a document that reflected our shared vision of inclusive education. The day drew to a close with a sense of purpose and momentum.

Second Day

Building upon the foundations laid the previous day, participants reconvened with a sense of anticipation. The morning began with reflections on the previous day's progress, setting the stage for continued collaboration. Groups presented their work from the previous day, inviting feedback and dialogue from the wider working group. It is through these exchanges that our collective wisdom truly shines, illuminating pathways forward. Once again, the draft Administrative Instruction took precedence as we delve into discussions surrounding the weekly staff fund. With diligence and determination, participants engaged in the task of revising and refining the document to better serve its intended purpose. As the day draws to a close, we took stock of our accomplishments. The summary of two days' work serves as a testament to our collective efforts, paving the way for future strides in early childhood education.

Looking Ahead

This workshop represents more than just a series of discussions—it is a catalyst for change. With the support of Save the Children Kosova/o, we are poised to enact meaningful reforms that will shape the future of education in Kosovo. The benefits of this proposed legislation are manifold. By prioritizing early childhood education, we invest in the well-being and development of our youngest citizens. This legislation will not only expand access to quality education but also foster a more inclusive and equitable society. As we embark on this journey together, let us remain steadfast in our commitment to the children of Kosovo. Through collaboration and advocacy, we have the power to create a brighter future—one where every child has the opportunity to thrive. Together, we will continue to champion the rights of children and pave the way for a brighter tomorrow.
