During 2023, a series of impactful sessions unfolded across eight municipalities where Community-Based Centers operate, bringing together parents/caregivers, educators, and children to explore the realm of speech therapy, communication development, and alternative therapeutic methods. The sessions were held in Lubavec - Skenderaj, Zhabar - Mitrovica, Cermjan - Gjakova, Gllogjan, Zheger - Gjilan, Barileva - Pristina, Nerodime - Ferizaj, and Gjonaj - Prizren.

A total of 165 parents/caregivers, comprising 117 women and 48 men, immersed themselves in these sessions, designed to be interactive and engaging. The core focus was on providing practical activities that allowed parents/caregivers and children to learn and demonstrate various communication development techniques, including alternative methods of speech.

Led by specialized professionals, these sessions served as platforms for parents/caregivers to receive expert advice and guidance on effective communication strategies with their children. The professionals facilitated hands-on activities, encouraging parents/caregivers to actively participate with their children, fostering a deeper understanding of communication development.

The sessions went beyond conventional methods, incorporating innovative approaches that have proven to be effective in enhancing children's communication skills. By involving parents/caregivers directly in the learning process, the aim was to strengthen the bond between parents/caregivers and children, fostering a supportive environment for healthy communication development.

One distinctive aspect of these gatherings was the opportunity for parents/caregivers to share their personal experiences and challenges. The communal setting allowed for an open dialogue, where parents/caregivers exchanged insights, provided mutual support, and collectively tackled the common hurdles they face in raising children with unique communication needs.

The overarching purpose of these sessions was not only to impart knowledge but to create a supportive community where parents/caregivers felt empowered and equipped to navigate the intricacies of communication development. By combining expert guidance with shared experiences, the initiative sought to address the holistic needs of both parents/caregivers and children.
