Save the Children Kosova/o holds Safeguarding session for educators, community-mobilizers and directors of schools of ECCD centres
The key to safeguarding is prevention and making reporting concerns as easy as possible for children, parents/caregivers, community members and staff.
Save the Children Kosova/o met with educators, community-mobilizers and directors of schools where five community-based centers (ECCD centres) are established to ensure that they are informed on our safeguarding practices, so that the people we work with do not deliberately or unintentionally harm or abuse children or adults in affected communities.
We also discussed our mutual obligations for a safe environment, where feedback on our programmes, approach and behavior are listened to, and acted on.
We exchanged best practices and ideas on how to integrate the principles of safeguarding in their day-to-day work and raise the awareness of children, parents/caregivers and other parties for safe and inclusive exchanges with children in community-based ECCD centres.
