Save the Children Kosova/o, in cooperation with the municipal directorates of education, health and social welfare, has established an ECCD (Early Childhood Care and Development) centre for the first time in the municipality of Pristina, at the village of Barileva to support the provision of ECCD services and early education opportunities for children of age 3-5 and their families.

We were honored with the presence of the Directors from the Municipal Directorate of Education and Directorate of Social Welfare, and community leaders of Barileva in the inauguration ceremony, whom specified that this centre will influence its members’ perception towards early childhood care and development to support children’s potential to their fullest.

The opening of this ECCD centre marks the 27th ECCD centre established thus far from 2015 with the cooperation of municipal education, health and social welfare directorates across 10 municipalities.
