TRAINING OF RESEARCH ASSISTANTS ON THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EARLY LEARNING ASSESSMENT (IDELA) TOOL

WHAT IS IDELA?

 

Save the Children has developed a standardized methodology for assessing development and learning in early childhood for children aged 3-6, known as IDELA (International Development and Early Learning Assessment). In the past, IDELA has been administered in Kosovo to children aged 3-6 attending preschool institutions.

 

WHAT WILL YOU GAIN FROM THE TRAINING?

 

IDELA can only be administered by individuals trained in its administration. By undergoing the training, you will be certified as IDELA administrator and will be able to administer it in the future. Save the Children Kosova/o plans to administer the upcoming round of IDELA assessment in September 2024. If you are successfully trained, Save the Children may contact you at that time to engage you in IDELA administration, with payment.

 

 

WHO CAN APPLY?

 

We are seeking students who have these characteristics:

  • Bachelor's level students in the Faculty of Education, Psychology, Social Work, English Literature, or any other relevant field.
  • Previous experience in administering /preparing questionnaires/survey/assessments.
  • Desire to learn about IDELA and potentially administer it in the future as engaged by Save the Children.
  • Willingness to participate in the entire training without interruption.
  • Proficiency in the English language.

 

HOW LONG WILL THE TRAINING LAST AND WHERE WILL IT BE HELD?

 

The training will be delivered in Albanian language and will take place in July (3 days) in Pristina. Save the Children will cover the training expenses during those days. Students selected to attend the training will be contacted by Save the Children with a more detailed agenda.
