The agreement for the implementation of the project supported by the European Union for ensuring social protection for vulnerable groups is signed

The Head of the EU Office in Kosovo/EU Special Representative, Tomsh Sunjog, and the Local Director of Save the Children in Kosovo, Ahmet Kryeziu signed the agreement for the implementation of the project 'Strengthening the provision of social services for the most vulnerable groups, in response to the coronavirus pandemic'.

On this occasion Mr. Kryeziu said: "This program and significant financial support is very welcome for Kosovo. The component of this program implemented by Save the Children will provide funding to licensed non-governmental organizations so that they can continue to provide social services in Kosovo to all those in need.

Ambassador Sunjog recalled that the pandemic has created a sense of isolation among individuals and has destabilized social life, causing mental and physical discomfort like never before.
"Therefore, the EU Office in Kosovo is pleased to launch this program that will contribute to fostering solidarity and social cohesion in our communities so deeply shaken by the dramatic effect of the pandemic and its impact on people's lives .”

The contract was signed in the presence of Mentor Morin, Director of the Department for Social Policy and Family at the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare.
